McIver’s Ladies Baths is an inclusive space for ALL women and children.
We welcome women of all backgrounds, cultures, abilities, trans women and girls, and sexual orientations.
Our Conditions of Entry require all patrons to show respect and understanding toward each other.
Aggression, bullying, discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated. Patrons unable to follow the Conditions of Entry will be asked to leave.
Together, let’s care for and celebrate our unique place so it continues to be a sanctuary for all who visit.

McIver’s Ladies Baths
Hours of Operation
7am to 7pm, seven days a week from 5 October 2025 through to end of March 2026.
7am to 4pm, seven days a week from April 2025 through to 4 October 2025.
On the glistening shores of Coogee Beach is Australia’s only rock pool dedicated to women and children. Open year-round and with low entry fees, our mission is to make ocean swimming safe and accessible.
SINGLE ENTRY $2.50
10SWIMS CARD 10 swims for the price of 9 for $22.50
ANNUAL SWIM PASS for $185.00 per annum, or $160.00 if you are renewing
On 25 January 2024 the R&CLS Association unanimously agreed to waive all merchant fees to encourage the use of CREDIT and DEBIT cards. The use of cards is our preferred transaction method for entry and sales.
FACILITIES
McIver's Ladies Baths is perched on a cliff face and rock platform between the Ross Jones Memorial Pool and Wylie's Baths. The McIver's Ladies Baths have magnificent ocean views and are relatively well screened from the surrounding area. Steps lead from Grant Reserve, near the children’s playground down the cliff to the Baths.
The Baths consist of a large sea pool, sunbathing area, change rooms, amenities block and small clubhouse. It is surrounded by native coastal vegetation and small grassed areas.
Swimming pool is 32.9 metres long
Indoor Change Room with toilets, open showers and one enclosed shower.
A hot shower costs 20 cents, for 2 minutes
Outdoor Change Rooms and Shower (not heated)
The Sunroom (quiet area, no loud music, no nudity). Yoga is held in the Sunroom on Wednesdays & Fridays at 7am and Saturdays 7.30am.
We ask for your co-operation in respect for other patrons and their rights to privacy by no photography being allowed anywhere in the Baths or within the grounds, and the environment.
Nudity is not permitted.
The Baths has a no smoking, vaping, hookah/shisha, alcohol or loud music policy in any part of the McIver's Ladies Baths grounds or along the foreshore.
We have two sets of stairs that lead down to southern and northern ends of the Baths.
We ask that you take your rubbish home with you to assist the volunteers in keeping the site clean and presentable.
We prefer sales to be by credit and debit cards and have waived merchant/bank fees for patrons.
NO CASH sales for Merchandise or the Annual Swim Pass. Bank transfers can be made.
